Services

Finch Lane Collective is a private counselling practice offering trauma-informed, client-led counselling and ground-based equine assisted therapy in Emerald and across Central Queensland.

Support is relational and strengths-based, grounded in safety, collaboration, and steady therapeutic pacing. Services are designed to complement existing medical, psychological, and community supports, particularly within regional and rural contexts.

Individual Counselling

(Adolescents & Adults)

Counselling provides a calm, structured space to explore emotional, relational, and life challenges in a way that feels manageable.

Sessions may support:

  • anxiety and ongoing stress
  • emotional regulation difficulties
  • the impacts of trauma
  • life transitions and adjustment
  • grief and loss
  • experiences of feeling disconnected or unsure where to begin

The approach is trauma-informed and client-led.

There is no expectation to move quickly or revisit experiences before you are ready. Therapy progresses collaboratively and respectfully.

50–60 minutes | $150 per session

Ground-Based Equine Assisted Therapy

(No Riding Involved)

Equine assisted therapy is offered as an optional, complementary approach where clinically appropriate.

Sessions are conducted outdoors and involve ground-based interaction only. There are no mounted activities. Equine involvement is always determined collaboratively, based on clinical suitability, therapeutic goals, and client preference.

This experiential approach may be helpful for clients who:

  • are seeking a calm, rural or nature-based setting
  • benefit from body-based or experiential processes
  • find traditional office-based therapy challenging
  • would like adjunct support alongside GP or psychological care

Clients may choose counselling without equine involvement at any stage.

50–60 minutes | $170 per session
Includes session preparation and horse welfare oversight.
