Yes. This service is designed to complement existing medical or psychological care where appropriate. Many clients seek support while on waitlists or alongside other professionals.

Support is tailored to each individual and their unique needs, rather than age alone.

Sessions are calm, relational, and client-led. There is no expectation to move quickly or revisit difficult experiences before you are ready.

The focus is on building safety, emotional regulation, and understanding in a steady and supportive way.

Ground-based equine-assisted therapy involves therapeutic work alongside horses without any mounted activities.
 
Sessions take place outdoors and may include observation, interaction, and gentle engagement with the horses in ways that support therapeutic goals.
 
At Finch Lane Collective, involvement with the horses is always optional and guided by clinical suitability, personal preference, and the goals of therapy.
Finch Lane Collective works within a clearly defined professional scope.
 
The service may not be appropriate for individuals requiring acute psychiatric intervention, specialist psychiatric care, crisis or emergency mental health support, or statutory child protection involvement.
 
Where needs fall outside scope, appropriate referrals are made.

Finch Lane Collective is located at 74 Glengallan Road, Emerald QLD, in a rural, outdoor setting.

Services are available to clients across the Central Highlands region.

Equine-assisted sessions take place outdoors. Counselling sessions may also be offered in ways that incorporate outdoor or nature-based elements, depending on client preference and suitability.

As sessions are delivered in a rural environment, natural weather and environmental factors may be present.
